øjeRum is the nom-de-plume of Paw Grabowski, a Copenhagen based musician who has created some of the most beautiful ambient and instrumental works of the last decade. Released through the likes of Vaknar, Eilean, LINE and Phinery.

Paw's work is remarkable in it's emotional weight. Earlier releases such as 'Selected Organ Works' (Vaknar) and 'Skygge' (Round Bale) push deeply into nostalgia and heartbreaking, glassy eyed minimalism. The pieces, as remorseless as they are beautiful. Framed with a constance of arrival and departure, transience slowed into jewel like forms.

'Through The Archway Of Mouths' see's Paw work with Iuna Niva collaboratively over 6 tracks of ever-presently beautiful ambient electronics, two of them infused with lithe techno percussion (the title track and 'Ferns'). Iuna's time here introduces her breathless, Julle Cruise-esque voice and an added layer of processing and sound design. All of which combines into a øjeRum recording which for once is also charged with hopefullness to offset the sombre environment so well gardened by Paw.

Extraordinarily gorgeous, an album for hot houses, rare botanicals and the end of the world.
